Blind Shaft examines the lives of two itinerant coal miners in northern China. The men have been so brutalised by the all-pervasive poverty and conditions in the mining industry that they earn money by organizing fatal accidents to kill individual workmates, whom they claim are relatives and then extort hush money from the mine owners. For their latest "mark," they choose a naive teenager from a small village, and as they prepare to carry out their newest plan, things start to get complicated when they find out the youngster is not so naive.

This movie was better than expected but a bit dismal and gritty looking. To be expected I suppose, due to the nature of the environment it's shown in. There's nothing bright, clean or attractive about the movie with murder of innocent people, dark, dingy mines (and people), dirt and lots of machinery noise. But, if you give it a chance, you will find the ending very enjoyable.
