The Kingdom of the Wind tells the story of Muhyul, who is both the son of a king and the recipient of a prophecy that foretells he will kill his parents, siblings, and children, and destroy the country. Horrified by this prophecy, King Yuri still cannot bring himself to kill his own child, and instead sends him to live as a commoner in the outside world. Growing up without knowing his true identity, Muhyul goes through many trials and tribulations in an attempt defy his nefarious fate, and eventually emerges as a powerful king.

Another of my favorites! I love everyting about this drama series: the characters, the action scenes, the gorgeous cinematography and OST. Jung Jin Young as King Yuri is exceptional as a king torn between a bad omen he receives from the High Priestess and his infant son, the subject of the omen. A stellar performance was also turned in by Lee Jong Won, as the beloved first son who makes a decision to take his own life rather than bring war and misery upon his nation. Song Il Kuk is outstanding as Muhyul. Just a great show all around.
