Attacked and wounded by a group of traitorous Japanese ninja, a mercenary samurai named Yamada (Ozeki) is rescued and nursed back to health by a group of Siamese warriors, in service to the King of Ayothaya. Confused by the mysterious identity of his assailants, Yamada stays with the warriors, befriending them, learning their art, and eventually pledging his loyalty and life to their cause and kingdom. The lead character in the film is based on Yamada Nagamasa, a Japanese adventurer who later became a governor in the Ayutthaya Kingdom.

If you like lots of action, this is the film for you. But, be forewarned: it is bloody, bloody, bloody! Lots of slashing, cutting and killing in this film which features a cast of real life renowned Muay Thai boxers. Based on a tue story about the life of Yamada Nagamasa, Ozeki Seigi, who plays Yamada, is one hunk and holds his own with the Siamese king's guards after taking a good beat down in the beginning. He is also very adept with a samuria sword when he has to fight off Japanese invaders. During the fight scenes, the cutting and hacking and running through with spears got a bit tiresome (I think I closed my eyes numerous times during those scenes because they looked so realistic.) All in all, it is a action packed, kick butt film, if you're into that kind of thing. I must admit that for me, seeing this once was definitely enough.
